
COUNCIL ADMINISTRATOR, BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
Ms. Kidd presently serves as the Council Administrator to the Birmingham City Council. A position that she has held for 16 years serving six council presidents; and working with six Mayors. The City of Birmingham has a population of 217,000 and growing. In this leadership role, Ms. Kidd works with elected officials to ensure effective legislation and solid budgetary measures are in place to stabilize and continue growth within the City.
She earned her Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law in 1997; a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Samford University in 1985. In 2013 she attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and earned a Masters in Business Administration.
Ms. Kidd started her own legal practice in 1999, practicing in the areas of Business Organization, Juvenile Advocacy, Domestic Relations, Adoption and Probate Law. She is an adjunct professor at Miles School of Law and has served in this capacity for over 15 years; she has taught Agency and Partnership, Corporation, Equity, Contracts and Domestic Relations.
